The Record Course

One of the most impressive games occurred on April 6, 1985, at the Gold Hills Golf Course in Redding, Calif., when Doren broke their course record with a 61 (11 under par) and the next day, to prove it was no fluke, he hit 62.

1. 3rd place in the National Tucson Golf Tour in Tucson, Arizona, in 1986. Keith Clearwater, PGA Tour, took 4th place.

2. Qualified for the TPA Card in 1986.

16. Took 2nd place in 2002 U.S. Deaf Golf Championship Tournament at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club in Pinehurst, NC.

17.Took 3rd place in World Deaf Golf Championship 2004 at Drottningholms GK in Sweden, Stockholm.

18. Took first place in 2005 US Open Deaf Golf Championship (shot 72, 70, 70, and 73 at Ravenwood GC)

19. Took 3rd place in World Deaf Golf Championship in Edmonton, Canada in 2006.

20. Took 2nd place in 2007 US Open Deaf Championship at Far Oaks GC in IL

Hearing Golf Tournaments

1. Shasta College Team during the Seasons of 1980 & 1981, finished in the top ten and was selected All-League, took 2nd place and averaged 74.6 for the season. One round under par, shooting a 68.

2. Runner-up in the Redding City Amateur Open at Gold Hills Golf Course in 1982.

3. Won the Redding City Amateur Open at Gold Hills Golf Course in 1984.

4. Won the North State Amateur Tournament at Gold Hills Golf Course in Redding, California in 1991 (shot 77-68).

5. Won the Shasta County Amateur Championship Tournament at Fall River Valley Golf Course in Fall River Mills, California, in 2002 (shot 73-72).

6. Took 2nd place in the Shasta County Amateur Championship at Fall River Valley Golf Course in 2003 (77-70).
